Happy Labor Day!

For all of you who have taken the time to click on my blog today, thanks! I know it's a holiday and very few of you are in your weekday work mode. Unfortunately, I had to work today so I decided to just go ahead and blog today.

Can you believe this weather? I don't know what we did to deserve this - or when we are going to have to pay for this - but it was perfect. Friday, Saturday and Sunday were the kind of days that make it worth going through an entire week of stress and struggle.

As you might imagine, golf played a key role in my life the last three days. I felt like a PGA your player: Playing with my buddies on Friday here in Pittsburgh, teeing it up with Sharon Saturday at the Wisp Resort at Deep Creek Lake in Maryland and then, traveling to Wheeling to get in one final round with her at Oglebay.

In between, we had perhaps the greatest crab cakes I have ever tasted at a place on Deep Creek and I forget the name. Wait. Just looked it up. It's called the Sweetwater Grille and the crab cakes came in a lobster sauce with shrimp - and they were big.

It was even more fun because Sharon and I brought Boobaloo to the resort. Turns out, Wisp is pet-friendly and Boo able to stay in our room with us. He was a little nervous and did bark quite a bit when we left him in our room by himself, but he got used to his new environment. He also took his first ride in an elevator and it was somewhat weird to see him cower in fear as the elevator descended. Still, it was his first real "vacation" and he had fun with all the new smells and all the other digs he met on his long walks.

Overall, it was a great way to spend what's considered "the last weekend of summer", although judging by the forecast from Demetrius it sounds like we have at least another week of the warm stuff. Hope you enjoy you Labor Day - while I'm working - and I'll see you tomorrow.
